Dermal Fillers

Dermal fillers are a non-surgical aesthetic treatment designed to restore volume, enhance facial contours, and smooth deeper lines. Made from hyaluronic acid - a protein naturally found in the skin - fillers work by attracting moisture and providing structural support to targeted areas.

They are commonly used to plump lips, define cheeks and jawline, soften smile lines, and improve overall facial balance. Results are visible immediately and can last from 6 to 18 months, depending on the area treated and product used, offering a natural-looking way to refresh and rejuvenate the face.

Frequently Asked Questions...

Hyaluronic acid fillers attract and retain moisture while providing structural support beneath the skin. This helps to add volume, smooth lines, and improve facial proportions, while also enhancing skin hydration and elasticity.

 How does it work?

Dermal fillers can be used to treat and enhance a variety of areas, including:

  • Lips

  • Cheeks

  • Jawline

  • Chin

  • Nasolabial (smile) lines

  • Marionette lines

Treatments are always tailored to your individual facial structure and aesthetic goals.

 What areas can be treated?

Your treatment begins with a detailed consultation to assess facial anatomy, discuss concerns, and agree on a personalised treatment plan. The procedure typically takes 30–45 minutes, depending on the areas treated.

Numbing cream is applied before using a fine needle or cannula to place the product precisely. Most fillers contain a local anaesthetic, and additional comfort measures are taken throughout to minimise discomfort.

What can I expect during treatment?

Results are visible immediately, although some swelling may be present. Final results are typically seen once the filler has fully settled after 1-2 weeks. Depending on the area and product used, results can last 6–18 months.

 When will I see results?

There may be mild swelling, redness, or bruising following treatment, which usually settles within a few days. Most clients can return to normal activities shortly after their appointment.

You may be advised to avoid:

  • Intense exercise for 24–48 hours

  • Alcohol for 24 hours

  • Touching or massaging the treated area unless instructed

Full aftercare guidance will be provided.

 Is there any downtime?

Dermal fillers may not be suitable if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have certain medical conditions, or active skin infections. Suitability is assessed during your consultation.

Who is not suitable for fillers?

Most fillers are naturally broken down after 6 months, so you can rest assured all treatments are temporary. Hyaluronic acid fillers can be safely dissolved if necessary.
